The machine runs a two-stage curing process. An infrared (IR) lamp first gently pre-heats the coated surface, removing residual moisture and solvents and improving how the coating levels out before curing. An ultraviolet (UV) lamp then instantly cures the coating, initiating polymerization that transforms the liquid coating into a hard, dry, protective layer within seconds. The combination produces faster drying, better coating flow and leveling, stronger adhesion, enhanced gloss, and higher scratch and water resistance than UV curing alone. Because it is a dedicated curing stage rather than a single fixed-size unit, the Codalam UV Dryer Machine is available across a range of working widths — 12, 18, 24, 36, and 52 inches, plus custom sizing — so it can be matched to the coating machine and production volume it is paired with. It runs on a 3kW single-phase UV lamp system, a 220V or 415V 50Hz power supply, and an air-cooled exhaust system, all housed in a heavy-duty powder-coated steel body built for continuous industrial use.
